All tracks were written in 2020 under the influence of the more or less global lockdown. I just started playing around with synths and all ideas had a kind of thread, at least for me. They all seem to deal with solitude in different forms. Do you remember, when almost everybody started walking around, because there was nowhere you could go to meet other people? And actually there were only a very few people, you would come across on those walks. Even in small to middle sized towns, like mine. It was a strange atmosphere and it felt like walking through different layers of a bypassed reality. All this found it's way into 'Deserted'.

'Subglacial' describes, what it would be like to walk under a glacier. You can hear water drops, reflections and ice cracking. 'Perimeter' deals with trying to get through to people, but you just can't. Maybe you want it, but you're constantly bouncing off your own perimeters, that can have multiple forms or reasons.

‚Tensor‘ has a similar approach. Imagine you are amongst a crowd, maybe a concert. You are totally in it and still alone by yourself, because you have your own thoughts, that will never be the same like that of others. Or will they?

‚Abyss‘ is a classic, scifi based track. Walking around and exploring a space station, where nobody else is. Broken lights hang from the ceiling and flicker from time to time. It is mostly dark and silent in this station. Only some strange sounds of unknown origins are heard. The consoles are covered with dust, which seems to be everywhere. It is long ago, that these walls have seen some life passing by…

Archive 1 is the start of a series of small compilations of tracks, to be released irregularly. They might fit a certain theme and consist of tracks, that won’t make it onto an album, but should see a proper release.

Archive 1 was completely recorded, mixed (and remixed) and mastered by Jörg von der Fecht.
